Managing Director

Chris Detheridge

Chris became Managing Director of Wace Morgan in 2020. He aims to lead the development of the firm in the digital age while maintaining its historical reputation as a quality legal practice.

Chris’ current workload encompasses a variety of legal practices. These include; contested wills and probate actions plus claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975; professional negligence actions, particularly those involving solicitors and surveyors; and Trust Litigation.

His specialisation also covers; contract disputes; insolvency; partnership and shareholder disputes; boundary disputes; property litigation disputes between commercial landlords and tenants and possession claims.

With 20 years of litigation experience, Chris has been involved in many substantial cases ranging in value up to several million pounds.

Chris’ objective is to achieve the best result for his client at the least expense; he has experience of settling cases through alternative dispute resolution including mediation.

Before joining Wace Morgan in 2009 Chris was head of the commercial litigation department at a firm in Telford.  Before that he worked as a litigation solicitor for a major practice in East Anglia.

Chris is an ADR Group Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator.

Away from the office, Chris is a keen fan of most sports; he enjoys a regular game of football and golf and spending time with his young family.

“Excellent service, regular updates and quick responses. Well advised, understanding and compassionate.”

“Regarding boundary dispute – An immediate grasp of the problem, sound advice and a very systematic manner of dealing with issues raised. Many Thanks.”
